On those rainy or cold days, parents seek out good places to take their kids. Here are some places I’ve been to, anyone have some good suggestions for the South Bay Moms?
Kids Concept on Hawthorne in Torrance, CA

Sometimes I forget that I live in one of the top tourist attractions in the world, Southern California. It’s easy to take for granted just the local theme parks, museums, beaches and restaurants that are all a part of our daily lives.
My favorite theme park for toddlers has got to be Disneyland in Anaheim, Ca. Can you really beat being able to take your child to the “Happiest Place on Earth” for 365 days if you wanted to on their annual pass. We got the annual pass one year and it was completely worth it. Disneyland Annual Passport holders (depending on level of membership) can go to Disneyland all year round without blackout dates when you purchase the Premium Annual Passport. There is a monthly payment plan for the purchase of the passport, making it easily affordable! Children under 3 are free with an accompanying adult.
Hopkins Wilderness Park- Redondo Beach
Location: 1102 Camino Real, Redondo Beach CA 90277
Hours: 10am – 4:30pm everyday, except Wednesdays.
Guess what? You don’t need to travel far to give your children a great time in the great outdoors. Right in the middle of Redondo Beach, there is a hidden gem, the Hopkins Wilderness Park.
The Wilderness Park is the most picturesque location where you can enjoy an afternoon with your children. There are two beautiful ponds full of coy fish and ducks perusing in and out of it. A little stream runs from the top of the hill down to the pond. There is an awesome outdoor amphitheatre. The park is set up for camping with b.b.q grills for rental or an ideal place for birthday parties.

YAY for messy! Being an artist myself, I love a place where you can exercise your creative spirit without having to care about making your hands or your clothes dirty. Art zone, located in Hermosa Beach on Aviation is a little art studio for little kids.
I love this place because it has a personality of its own. There are many stations inside the studio allowing for a child to explore with different textured materials and experiment with different art mediums.
