Conveniently located off PCH by Artesia, the little indoor play gym is a life saver for me on rainy days or when I have some work to do. This one room playground is surrounded by colorful under the sea murals. Children music is played softly in the background creating a fun ambience while kids are free to play with any of the indoor toys. There is an area with trains and legos, a small little grocery market with shopping carts and the large room contains a bounce house, air hockey, fools table and small play structures. In addition, there are little foot pedal cars, balls and a special area for smaller kids to enjoy their free play time. Continue reading »

art made by passion


salvation-mountain An amazing piece of art was birthed by one man’s passion for God. Leonard Knight in 1996 started with cement and his faith decided to build something. Days and weeks passed and this small something turned into a huge monument of art professing the truths in scripture.

On route to Arizona, we passed the monument which is now called “Salvation Mountain”, a color-filled mountain blazing the words that fueled Leonard’s passion for God’s love. A cross stood at the top of the mountain with the words in caps, “God is Love, Jesus I’m a sinner please come upon my body and into my heart.” Bible scriptures covered caves, walls, abandoned trailers, boats and tires in all sorts of artsy ways. This place is an inspiration! My son completely loved climbing all the way up to the cross, running through the tunnels and exploring this mountain of colors.
